Doodles (Dibujos Rápidos que hago en un tiempito libre) - 2009/07

2009/07/08 Doodle - I-Tri-Pod - a iPod Touch stand and tripod adapter
2009/07/08 Doodle/Idea:
I am reading: How Apple singlehandedly killed the Flip Mino,
about the iPod Touch going to kill the budget video recorder industry.
The only caveat with the iPod Touch is that
you cannot stand it on its edge, or put it on a tripod.
So, the i-Tri-Pod (tm) is a frame to cradle
the iPod Touch or iPhone and stand it on its side or on a tripod.

2009/07/08 Doodle/idea: Software to classify and distribute donated clothes
2009/07/08 Doodle/idea:
(an old one I had in the drawer) When we were struck by earthquakes,
I went to the Red Cross to try to help.
On a big room there was a big, big pile of jumbled clothes that were donated.
I don't think much was done with that pile...
So, create a program where you classify and inventory
different pieces and sizes of clothing,
and match it to specific needs of different communities.

2009/07/08 Doodle/idea: Policy for the Country - invest in Composite Materials
2009/07/08 Doodle/idea:
This is not an invention, but rather a policy proposal for the country:
Promote Composite Materials -
build autoclaves in leading universities (Don Bosco, ITCA?), bring leading experts.
Why? Because El Salvador wants to be
an aircraft repairing and manufacturing hub.
We already produce composite light planes (Pulsar),
and are creating an aeronautical free zone.
I want to be on board for automotive uses.

2009/07/09 Doodle - Sports Car
2009/07/09 Doodle of the morning:

2009/07/09 Doodle - Low Rider
2009/07/09 Doodle:
While waiting for a software patch to download,
was hearing Allison Iraheta's Slow Ride (Aww.. Allison).
My mind wandered to Low Rider,
so here is a sketch of a low rider...

2009/07/10 Doodle - Fast to erect Emergency Housing
2009/07/10 Doodle/idea of the morning:
A system with pre-fabricated panels to erect houses in minutes.
A "Fast Home" (tm) can be erected in mere minutes.
Would be a way to create shelter after an earthquake or flooding.
Also to create temporary offices at construction sites, etc. etc.

2009/07/13 Doodle/Idea: Pocket Infrared Camera for Driving
2009/07/13 Doodle/Idea:
On saturday, took video driving from El Zonte to Sonsonate
( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UWj_nKI56I ).
I put the camera on the dashboard - and could see what was being recorded.
So, add an infrared sensor. I drive every night 40 kms from Airport to San Salvador,
and have seen many dead pedrestrians.
The infrared will show people on the street.
Also to record accidents for insurance purposes.

Retro Chevy Corvette
2009/07/21 Doodle of the morning:

2009/07/22 Doodles I found at the bottom of my computer bag...

and then my mind wandered...

2009/07/23 Doodle/Idea: Photosynth Visualization System
2009/07/23 Doodle/Idea: Photosynth Visualization System
I was just reading about a kick ass use of Photosynth in Popular Mechanics:
In an earthquake, robots go inside the ruble taking pictures,
and with Photosynth they make a visible model.
So, my idea is a 3D Visualization system that uses a rotating mirror
where different aspects of an object are proyected.
The projection could be from a 3D model,
but also from a set of Photosynthed pictures.
(To see my Photosynths, go to www.Photosynth.net
and in the search box type "Roque Mocan" with the quotation marks)

2009/07/23 Doodles: British Leyland, Bertone style sport car
2009/07/23 Doodles:

and a Bertone style show car...

2009/07/24 Doodle/Comic: Sheena in Burg Futura, Page 1
2009/07/24 Doodle/Comic:
Right now in San Diego, California the Comic-Con Conference is taking place.
In the spirit of this event, here is page 1 of 2 of a comic I started long ago.
My co-workers are egging me to continue it, but I don't feel like developing a story.
So: give me ideas how I should continue...
(don't expect quality drawings, this is only for fun!)

2009/07/27 Doodle: Searching for Flo, a character in John Lasseter's Cars
2009/07/27 Doodle:
I was channel surfing and stumbled upon John Lasseter's (Pixar) Cars -
and saw a light blue finned show car that I liked a lot!
(See doodle above I drew from what I remember from yesterday).
I am now intrigued... What car is THAT??? Seems to be some kind of show car.

From Wikipedia: The character is Flo, a showcar from Motorama
inspired by three early - to mid-fifties show cars:
the 1951 Buick LeSabre (front-end lines, the basic hood shape,
lights mounted near the corners, and front quarter trim),
the 1951Buick XP-300 (side trim), and the
1956/57 Chrisler Dart (cockpit, deck lid, and tailfins).

2009/07/27 Doodle: Buggy design
2009/07/27 Doodle:
One of my all-time favourite designs is Bruce Meyers Manx Dune Buggy.
So I designed a new one... (and THEN saw that Meyers has a new design,
called the Manxter - with a much, much better rear-end design than mine's...)
2009/07/27 Doodle/Idea: Personal Breeze (tm) to cool your brain!
2009/07/27 Doodle/Idea: Personal Breeze (tm)

2009/07/28 Doodle/Idea: CoolHead - cool your head with cold soda/beer cans
2009/07/28 Doodle/Idea: Coolhead
Man, these days it has been so hot! I always go to buy a can of coke
and pass it through my head. So: the CoolHead (tm) -
a way to put coll soda or beer cans on your head.

2009/07/28 Doodle/Idea: Kanban RFID for Small Shops
2009/07/29 Doodle/Idea: Kanban RFID for Small Stores
Put a single RFID system bankrolled by a consortium of vendors
(Unilever, Coca Cola, etc.). The store owner takes out the RFID tags
(they can be re-used) and puts them in a box once the item is sold,
and keeps an attached stub. Returned RFID tags are used in a
lottery or raffle with prices like flat panel TVs or food staples.
RFID system connected to a central inventory base.

2009/07/30 Doodle/Idea: CoolHead - a way of cooling your head
2009/07/30 Doodle/Idea: CoolHead - Head cooling device
A couple of days ago I put a drawing of a system to put beer cans on your head
(to cool down your head), and Ana Elsa told me
that no girl would put that thing on... it would look ridiculous.
So, this is version 2.0 of CoolHead (tm) - a way of cooling your head
using cans of chilled soda or beer cans...
(version 1.0 above, version 2.0 below)
