Punta Roca aparece en la clásica película semi-autobiográfica
de John Millius (Conan el Bárbaro, Apocalypse Now, Red Dawn): Big Wednesday (1978)
También Punta Roca aparece en el documental The Far Shore,
sobre Kevin Naughton y Craig Peterson, de Surfer Magazine,
quienes de jóvenes en los '70s vinieron acá.
Matt Warshaw, el autor de la Enciclopedia del Surf,
considera a El Salvador uno de los dos mejores lugares del mundo para el Surf.
